Evonote is the digital notebook for real handwriting. It's designed for real schools, with the real needs of students and teachers in mind.
We already have a fully functional prototype (MVP) with all the essential features.
Students write directly on the E-Ink screen with a stylus — just like on paper — but without losing pages or carrying heavy backpacks. Every page is automatically saved and backed up online.
Unlike regular tablets (with bright OLED or LCD screens), Evonote uses E-Ink technology — similar to real paper. It emits no light, doesn’t tire the eyes, and consumes up to 20 times less energy. This makes it ideal for the classroom, where autonomy and eye protection matter.
There are no external apps, no games, no ads, no distractions. The tablet becomes a single-purpose learning tool, focused entirely on handwriting and schoolwork.
Evonote is not just a digital notebook — it’s a better version of the traditional one:
Heavy backpacks → one device instead of multiple notebooks.
Lost pages or lost notebooks → every page is automatically saved and archived.
Distractions of classic tablets → interface dedicated exclusively to writing.
Eye strain → E-Ink screen, no direct light, ideal for long sessions.
Autonomy → extremely low energy consumption, far beyond regular tablets.
Our first implementation proved that EVONOTE can run smoothly on hardware using only a fraction of the RAM and CPU required by typical tablets. This technical breakthrough means devices can be produced at significantly lower cost, making them accessible to far more students. Lower hardware requirements lead to lower prices, larger production volumes, and ultimately, broader access to quality education — the core mission of EVONOTE.
Evonote isn’t just about technology — it’s about proving that you can build something good for the world and still make it a sustainable business. We believe in fair profit, not exploitation. If we succeed, everyone involved wins — especially the children who gain access to better tools for learning.
