Long Story Short:

2020 — I first saw E-Ink technology and instantly wanted a digital notebook built on it. Something simple, focused, and built for handwriting. I realized it didn’t exist — and that it would be perfect for schools. 

2022 — Re-enrolled in university to turn the idea into something real.  

2025 — Graduated with a 10/10 thesis presenting the full system architecture.  

Now — Testing, refining, and preparing for the next step: real-world use.

What we have already:

• Fully working MVP: a complete end-to-end digital notebook system

• Natural, stable handwriting experience on E-Ink (fluid writing very close to paper)

• Core features implemented: pagination, autosave, sync, page viewing & navigation

• Closed, distraction-free system: Device Owner + custom launcher, no access to Android

• Basic Evonote MDM (hidden DEV menu for controlled debugging)

• Fully functional cloud platform: page sync, online viewing, PDF export, structured by subjects and school years

• Data stays safe even if the tablet is lost or reset

• Real-world testing underway: students use Evonote daily

• Official trademark registered until 2030 (OSIM certificate no. 171619)

• Academic validation: part of a 10/10 Computer Science thesis, University of Bucharest

Evonote already works — end to end.

The next step is broader real-world classroom testing.
